Sažetak
The basic prerequisite for the improvement of the transport system as well as creating environment for balanced regional, economic and social development is highly developed transport infrastructure. In order to specify the desired revaluation of Croatian inland navigation infrastructure network it is necessary to perform a critical analysis of the existing system including the positive implications and principles of the European transport policies. Based on the analysis of the current status of Croatian inland navigation system, functionality analysis of the system, and the assessment of development options for a specified period, this paper should propose measures for the optimal development of the system with particular emphasis on priority objects of transport infrastructure to achieve the stated goals.
