Sažetak
Creeping marshwort (Apium repens (Jacq.) Lag., Apiaceae) is a perennial species that grows on wet and aquatic habitats. It is listed on the Annex II of the Council Directive 92/43/EEC on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora. Until only few years ago its presence in Croatia was questionable and its localities were uncertain. Flora Europaea (Tutin, 1968) also cites its occurrence in former Yugoslavia as doubtful. In the Red Book of Vascular Flora of Croatia (Nikolić & Topić (eds.), 2005) it is listed as DD species. In the year 2006 research of this species was initiated with the purpose of identifying potential Sites of Community Importance (pSCI) for the NATURA 2000 network. During the research, many potential localities of the species were visited and some new localities were found. They were compared and abundance of the species on them was determined. Distribution map of the species in Croatia based on literature and herbaria data as well as our own field observations was made and the conservation status of the species was commented upon.
