Sažetak
The effect of simulated application conditions on polyamide 6.6 netting yarns (multifilament and cabled netting twines made of same monofilaments) for fishing nets was studied. With the aim of simulating the atmospheric conditions, the samples were exposed to: artificial light source for 60 hours in a Xenotest according to the EN ISO 105-B04, and neutral salt spray (NSS) in a salt spray cabinet for 60 hours according to the EN ISO 9227. All the samples were also exposed to atmospheric conditions in natural environment during two months with the aim of determination of their durability under simulated end use conditions. The samples had been repeatedly immersed in seawater for simulating the fishing, during the night and during the day exposed to direct solar radiation according to the EN ISO 105-B03. The surface characterisation of the untreated and aged yarn samples was carried out using SEM analysis. With the aim of determination of breaking force and breaking elongation changes caused by the influence of ageing, all the samples were examined in the dry and wet state according to the EN ISO 5079 (single monofilaments and multifilament netting twine) and according to the EN ISO 1805 (multifilament and cabled netting twines). Results indicated that exposure of netting twines to ageing and simulated ageing in a relatively short period affecting the change of investigated properties.
