Sažetak
The aim of this study was to examine the benefits of using a computer program for threedimensional parametric modelling in the design and manufacturing of furniture. From the experiences of other professions shorter time was expected for producing of documentation by means of three dimensional modelling. This paper presents the use of 3D computer technology intended to use in furniture production, from conceptual designs to the presentation of the finished product. For construction documentation in two-dimensional drawings and threedimensional model comparison was conducted, and report is done about benefits of threedimensional modelling use. Conducted research in the paper was based in part on the development of production documentation for cabinet made of three-layer chipboard with melamine overlay. The angular, wider edge assembly was done with dowels. The results were analysed for time consumption and quality of documentation. From all results particularly was important significant difference in time consumption for documentation production in favour of three-dimensional modelling.
