Sažetak
The paper focuses to the investigation of heat and water vapour resistance trough knitted materials, i.e. parameters that are related to the establishment of comfort. For the purpose of the study, single jersey fabrics from cotton, cotton/modal, viscose, lyocel and polyester yarns in count of 20 tex were produced. The average mass per unit area of produced fabrics is 140 g m-2 and thickness 0.45 mm. The measurement of heat and water vapour resistance is carried under a number of different environmental conditions, regarding the temperature and relative humidity (i.e. 20, 25 and 30ºC and 40, 50, 60 and 70% of Rh).The results showed that a decrease in temperature by 10ºC, while maintaining relative humidity constant, changed the heat resistance of the knitted fabrics by 8-15%. Test results for the resistance of the knitted fabric with similar structural parameters, but with different raw material composition, indicate changes in water vapour resistance by 5 to 16% of the conditions in which relative humidity was 40% and 70%, respectively.
