Sažetak
The subject of this paper is the application of hydro power calculator – a program developed within a di-ploma paper assignment – in the education of engineers of electric power supply. Energy characteristics of hydro plants are determined on the basis of hydrological characteristics of the flow and hydrological head (head further in the text). An algorithm was developed based on the analysis of the calcu- lation of the parameters of a hydro plant, and software was developed by Java program language. A detail description of the program’s use is also given.
