Sažetak
We are living in a time where innovations, knowledge and human capital are essential parts of organizational success and make main sources of competitive advantage. Global managers and leaders understand that HRM practice should be designed through people-centered approach. Employees have to be recognized as unique, special and alive organization, whose effort and skills, talents and knowledge are the most significant organizational assets. The aim of this paper was to determine the importance of reward management practices (as part of HRM practice) for the biggest Croatian firms and compare it to old and new EU member countries. Considering that Croatia will join the group of new EU countries, one might expect a full convergence of reward practices in Croatia to those found in other EU countries. However, our results show that this is not the case with all reward dimensions.
