Sažetak
Metamict samples of allanite-(Ce) were recrystallized in hydrothermal conditions at 150°C for 2, 5 and 24 h. The recrystallization of metamict samples was rapid and complete, without the appearance of additional phases when heated for 2 and 5 h, but when heated for 24 h, the structure is disturbed. The disturbance can be attributed to enhanced oxidation of different elements, most notably Fe2+ and Ce3+. Infrared spectroscopy and X-ray powder diffraction methods were coupled in investigating untreated and treated samples of crystallized epidote and metamict allanite-(Ce).
