Sažetak
In most European countries, higher education institutions or study programmes are subject to regular external reviews by national and/or international quality-assurance agencies. Currently, the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Zagreb, is going through two accreditation processes at the same time. One of them is the accreditation by the Croatian Agency for Science and Higher Education (AZVO) [1], and the other by a German accreditation agency, Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik (ASIIN) [2]. The procedures undertaken under the CASHE and ASIIN accreditation processes will be presented and their significance for the Faculty of Civil Engineering in the global market for higher education will be discussed.
