Sažetak
This paper is review of all current Egyptological research in Croatia which is undergoing at two major research centers in Zagreb: Archaeological Museum in Zagreb and University of Zagreb. At the moment there are two big projects in Croatia: the first is Croato-Aegyptica Electronica which continued to work with Egyptian museum collections in Croatia (Mladen Tomorad & Igor Uranić), and the second is forensic project which research our human and animal remains from Archaeological Museum in Zagreb (team from Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb and Igor Uranić, custodian of Egyptian department of Archaeological Museum in Zagreb). In my presentation I would like to present what has been done in last couple of years in Croatia in various fields of Egyptology and ancient history which dealt with Egypt. Next year we will also organize meeting of Orientalists and Egyptologist from the region of ex-Yugoslavia where we will present history of various researches until 2012. Conference will happen in Zagreb in spring 2012. Lately couple of papers and few books has been written and soon they will be published so I would like to present that too. Project Croato-Aegyptica Electronica: we are almost done with our collections and at the moment I will start working on last big collection from Archaeological Museum in Dubrovnik with 197 objects. Recently we finished work at the biggest collection of Archaeological Museum in Zagreb with almost 3000 artifacts, and the other museums in Croatia (there are 22 museums in Croatia with Egyptian objects). All shabtis from AMZ has been tracked and I’ve done major typology of them in last couple of months (paper will be publish this autumn). Igor finished research and catalogued all the rest objects from the museum. I also examined all predynastic and archaic objects from Croatian collections which will be published shortly. Forensic research of animal and human remains from Egyptian collection of Archaeological Museum in Zagreb has been just finished and soon will be published in several journals. I would like to present this research as well.
