Sažetak
Theoretical analysis of stability of steel thin-walled C-section 100/50/50/2 beams and Z-section 100/50/15/2 beams was conducted numerically using the finite element method, and experimentally by model testing in laboratory. C-section and Z-section beams.Inductive strain gauges for displacement measurement, and resistance strain gauges for measuring longitudinal deformations in beam, were placed on beams during laboratory testing of thin-walled C-section and Z-section beams.In the experimental analysis of thin-walled C-section and Z-section beams, the global critical force has not been attained because of local buckling. The thin-wall beam theory offers the global critical force value without taking into account local beam buckling. The analysis based on finite element method offers the critical force value with local buckling, and shows the area of possible occurrence of local buckling, which has been proven correct through experimental testing
