Paper deals with problematics of general motivations for studying space weather , with Croatian LION ( Local Ionospheric Observation Network) - regional GPS and SID sensors network in Croatia for continuous monitoring of local patterns of ionospheric dynamics and GNSS perfomance, and with GNSS Space Weather Laboratory in Rijeka and education and capacity building : Space Weather Effects on GNSS.
