Sažetak
In this paper we investigate translating intensifiers in the dialogues of the German novel Tintenherz by Cornelia Funke into the Croatian language. The aim of this paper is to determine which intensifiers are used in fictional orality and which translation strategies are applied in the translation process. We are also interested in the sender and receiver of intensifiers within fictional orality as well as the referents, modified by intensifiers. Owing to the complexity of intensifiers we specify the possible problems translators can be faced with.
