This article presents an institutional framework, implementation and distinction in the new management discipline – facility and asset management in Croatia. The aim of this paper is to define the term Facility Management and Asset Management and the role of both ; to present a brief history of Facility and Asset Management development, international professional associations and basic standards and the distinction of Facility and Asset Management in Croatia.
