Sažetak
Since 1951, the Mediterranean Games have been an important sports and cultural forum for countries that are geographically linked but also culturally and politically diverse. As a spin-off project of the International Olympic Committee, this multi-sport event has strived to reconcile differences on a smaller scale than the Olympics, within a geographical context that has been politically problematic since the mid-twentieth century. To date, sixteen Mediterranean Games have been held, each visually represented by a communication system in the form of posters, logos, or signage . By analyzing and interpreting the logos and posters of the Mediterranean Games, this paper examines the efforts of linking different cultures through sport at the level of visual communication.
