Sažetak
On November 20, 1989, thw General Assembly of the United Nations adopted the Un Convention on the Rights of the Child. The new normative approach to the children's rights determines the principle of the child's greatest interest. The gentic testing is a powerful weapon for the social control. The enormous gap between the legal status of the child and the llegal status of the fetus needs special attention de lege ferenda. The best interest of the child should be protected in advance, during the pregnancy according to delicate balance of interests and rights of the pregnant mother and the fetus in the same time.
