Sažetak
Polypropylene (PP), high density polyethylene (HDPE) and their blends with and without ethylene-propylene–diene terpolymer (EPDM) as compatibilizer were prepared. Two different amounts (5 and 7 phr) of EPDM were added to PP/HDPE blends. Rheological properties in processing were followed during preparation of samples in twin screw extruder. Extrusion capacity (Q), torque (TQ) and back-pressure (p) were recorded and apparent viscosity was approximated by TQ/Q and p/Q ratios. Morphological structure was determined by scanning electron microscope (SEM). Ultrathin sections of the samples were also observed by scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM).
