Sažetak
The objective of the study was to estimate genetic parameters for daily milk, fat and protein yield and fat and protein content using test-day records of the Istrian sheep in Croatia. Fixed class effects in the model were: parity, litter size, lambing season and flock. Days in milk and age at lambing were treated as covariates. Direct additive genetic effect, flock-test-day and permanent-environmental effects were treated as random. Results provide genetic parameters for the application of genetic evaluation for milk traits evaluation of the Istrian sheep in Croatia.
