Sažetak
Between 1969 and 1971 conservation-restoration treatment was carried out on the Gothic choir stalls of the Cathedral of St. Anastasia in Zadar. The conservation started again at the Croatian Conservation Institute in 2010. In order to complete the work, it was necessary to explore the methodological and technical aspects of the previous restoration. In the last 40 years a change in perception has occurred, widening the focus from the artefact alone to both the artefact and the history of its receptions and interpretations. Since every intervention is interpretative, the restoration cannot be excluded.
