Sažetak
Protected Sites is the 9th theme included in Annex I which defines INSPIRE Directive as an area designated or managed within a framework of international, Community and Member States' legislation to achieve specific conservation objectives of natural and cultural heritage. For the purposes of this work, a research has been conducted with a goal to analyze existing data of the protected areas, legislation and regulations which control protected areas in the Republic of Croatia and institutions responsible for their implementation.
