Sažetak
In a two-stage pilot plant we have examined the activity of mixed culture of bacteria in the process of nitrification and denitrification in pharmaceutical waste water. We took into consideration the technological parameters, capacity and place limitations of the existing industrial biological waste water treatment plant in Krka. The mixed culture of bacteria was able to degrade the nitrogen compounds within 24 hours at various composition of waste water with the process of hydrolysis (ammonification), nitrification and denitrification
