Sažetak
Within the field of research methodology or methodology of scientific-research work in sport psychology and kinesiology, it is important to recognize and to predict potential methodological problems. In our opinion, methodological issues and problems established in the research of athlete personality are crucial for understanding the possible difficulties within the scientific research activities. Mastery of multivariate methods and research methodology is assumed to be the key prerequisite of not only the scientific, but also of the practical work of expert coaches and scientific-practitioners. This stems from the fact that it is necessary to obtain fundamental knowledge in the field of research methodology in order to understand and to explain complex psychological and kinesiological phenomena. Finally, the comprehension of the methodological problems mentioned, as well as of the strengths and restrictions of certain multivariate statistical methods enables psychologists and kinesiologists to research complex psychological and kinesiological phenomena.
