Sažetak
A sample of 266 specimens of the axillary seabream Pagellus acarne (Risso, 1826) from the eastern Adriatic Sea was biometrically analysed. Total length of all specimens ranged from 9.3-9.5 cm. Eighteen morphometric and seven meristic characteristics were obtained. Changes in morphological relations with growth of the fi sh were studied in order to describe relative growth of the axillary seabream. Data from this study indicate that certain differences between populations of P. acarne from the Adriatic Sea and the eastern Atlantic might exist.
