Sažetak
A structure or structural components which operate (mainly within framework of nuclear power plant applications) in condition of plastic shakedown, have been the subject of extensive study. The criteria to recognize whether plastic shakedown occurs or not, for an elastic-perfectly plastic solid body subjected to cyclic/steady loads, were established by Polizzotto. Direct method for determination of the plastic shakedown limit load was first proposed by Zarka et al. Jiang and Leckie simplified this method using the increment of residual stress. This paper modifies a direct method introducing necessary and sufficient conditions of plastic shakedown.
