Sažetak
Optimum damping for unbalance response of Laval rotor, based on a model of a rotor in isotropic bearings with one-and-half-degree-of-freedom, is found. Eigenmotions, in general, are damped vibrations and an exponentially decreasing motion. Only in a limited range of parameters there are not a damped vibrations, but all three eigenmotions are exponential motions with various decreasing rates. The most influence on resonant maximum has the damping. Minimal maximum unbalance response depends of damping in bearings. The obtained damping is optimal, but it is difficult to realize in praxis.
