Sažetak
Adenoid cystic carcinoma is most widely known as a neoplasm of the salivary glands. The most common carcinoma of the larynx is squamous cell carcinoma, but primary adenocarcinoma of the larynx is quite rare with incidence about 0, 25% of all malignant tumor. Subglotic region is most commonly affected. Adenoid cystic carcinoma is characterized usually by slowly progressive, infiltrative growth, remarkable capacity for recurence and capability for local and distant metastases. We present the 70 years old woman with adenoid cystic carcinoma of the glotic and subglotic region of the larynx. The first and only sign of the disease was aphonia with bilateral paralisis of the vocal cord. Histological the tumor showed perineureal invasion of branches of n.reccurentis.
