Sažetak
This research focuses on uncovering the connections between Wikipedia (WP) and the new media environment. This is done through virtual ethnographies of the English and Croatian WP communities, and strategically selected cases using Wikimedia statistics, documents, observation and interviews. Two communities are selected for comparative reasons. Cases are based on the analytical differences between media events. It is expected that this study will offer rich and detailed insight into WP´s culture and explore connections and fault lines between WP communities and the external media environment.
