Sažetak
In order to accelerate post-war reconstruction and road construction in Croatia, Croatian goverment in 1994. publicly announced international procurement procedure for road financing and construction of several strategic roads. After years of negotiations, during 1997. and 1998. Croatian goverment authorized Ministry of maritime affairs, transportation and telecommunications to sign three concession cotracts for construction of Istrian Y with concessionaire BINA Istra, Motorway Zagreb-Rijeka with concession company Autocesta Rijeka-Zagreb and with concession company Transeuropska autocesta d.o.o. for motorway Zagreb-Goričan. Above listed projects have similiar organizational and contractual structure but passed through different stages of development. Two of them are now in position, which requires very serious rethinking and restructuring of organization and contractual relationships. In article will be presented project framework with characteristics and data, which sufficiently describe each project and its environment. Through description of projects development stages authors will enligten possible reasons of unsatisfactorily concession project developments in Croatia.
