Sažetak
Over the last decade, the Bayesian network has become a popular representation for encoding uncertain expert knowledge in expert systems. Bayesian network is a graphical model for probabilistic relationships among a set of variables. . Usage of the belief networks in ship diagnostic system is discussed in the paper. Belief network represents expert system knowledge base, and the probabilistic inference results in a set of beliefs in each network node. Furthermore, besides the theoretical description an example regarding ship� s systems is additionally explored
