Sažetak
Moral foundations of democracy and democratic institutions lie on people that are engaged in work and civil interaction. Following this theory democratic process is a state of mind of the individual and groups of individuals in a joint interaction. Word pedagogy in its Greek root holds a thought that it is a process of directing a child or an inexperienced person to a certain goal. Our goal is to educate and guide young persons, students to a goal of becoming complete persons. Not only in a scientific or technical manor but also teaching them a sense of responsibility and bringing order to certain work process. Prevention is the best way of avoiding unwanted behaviour. Orthodox approach in educating students does not necessarily include cognition of a real work process that they will be a part of when they finish their education. Many lose their way in these new situations and their life often takes a wrong turn. This is a potential threat to a stable democratic society. Preparing young people to engage in “adult life” and contributing to a greater good is a challenging process. Learning new knowledge and applying it in a real situation is a cornerstone for our program. Sharing our experience with students, in a real life situation brings us to a whole new level of education. Example: Project that includes designing, manufacturing and selling the product, must be done in a certain time frame. Students are placed in the same non ideal conditions as in a company that would in “real life” produce this product. How to get along and how to deal with this problem in a creative and efficient manor is entirely up to the individual. The educator overviews and guides the process with tips but does not directly solve any problems. In this exercise the main focus is on teamwork, mutual respect and distributing the responsibility.
