Sažetak
Digital environment has changed for everyone even for deaf people. Deafness should not be a reason for not accepting the digital revolution, and it should be able to provide more users with special needs, in this case deaf people. The aim of the association ‘Dodir’ is to promote the interests of deaf-blind people in Croatia and abroad exercising their fundamental human rights to education, rehabilitation, communication and socialization. Association enables to deaf people educational, rehabilitative and communication programs designed for individuals, aimed at the active participation of deaf people in all the achievements of their lives. For better achieving of these aims in the new digital age students of information science in collaboration with the association ‘Dodir’ made ​​a mobile application for the Android and iOS platform with initial course of Croatian sign language. With the application, we want to raise awareness of deaf and non deaf people about how the technology is there to help us and how it should be used for better communication, education and even socialization. This is the first version of the application that contains the basic signs to communicate with deaf people. The poster will describe the process of application development, its features and its importance. We will demonstrate the aplication and also show the possibilites of implementation of the application in publishing process.
