Sažetak
Aim of this work was to determined sorption characteristics of the incontinence aids. Fiber composition, construction characteristics and sorption properties were determined. Some of the main parameters for sorption properties: liquid absorption capacities, run-off and gel lock-up of superabsorbent samples were determined. In work nine samples same purpose was used i.e. samples for the incontinence – diapers, bed pads and napkins. It was noted that samples consist from different multi layers (primary and secondary structure) and different amount of the superabsorptive polymer. Incontinence napkins have the biggest amount of the superabsorptive polymer while a bed pad has the smallest amount of the superabsorptive polymer. It was observed that the amount of SAP significantly affect the ability of absorption. The particle size of SAP also has a huge impact on the sorption properties. Sorptions properties were determined and was concluded that choose of the incontinence aid depend on the capacity of absorption (not on their size).
