Sažetak
The multiplication constant of electro-optical distance meters is changed as a result of quartz crystals aging in the distance meter oscillator. Other parts are also aging, the misalignment of instruments occurs during the transportation, along with the deformation caused by the temperature changes. It is therefore necessary to measure the measuring frequency in distance meters regularly. The measuring frequency of distance meters is tested in the laboratory conditions by means of frequency counter that needs to be calibrated previously. A new method of automated frequency counter calibrations by means of GPS signal has been developed in the Laboratory for Measurements and Measuring Technique at the Faculty of Geodesy, University of Zagreb. The paper describes the system for automated measurement of frequency in the electro-optical distance meters Leica TC1800 and Leica TCA2003. The measurements were performed in the Laboratory for Measurements and Measuring Technique at the Faculty of Geodesy, University of Zagreb at three temperatures, approximately: 13 °C, 20 °C and 31 °C. There is also the manner of recording the measuring data presented that is performed by means of the software Agilent IntuiLink Counter version 1.0. At the end, the data obtained from testing of the measuring frequency in the electro-optical distance meters TC1800 and Leica TCA2003 are presented graphically.
