Sažetak
The control of mechanical spring-back appears as a very important problem in the designing of bending
tools for electronic components which are intended
to be assembled by robot. This is because robotic
assembly requires very tight shape tolerances to
prevent process break-downs. In order to determine
the inevitable spring-back of a bent connector the
elastic-plastic incremental finite element
analysis has been carried out including friction
effects and material characteristics such as work
hardening. The accuracy of the simulation results,
spring-back angle and the residual stress
distribution after unloading are discussed
comparing them to the experimental results.
