Sažetak
Resistance estimating of fast round bilge hull form, within concept design model, requires wide exploration of ship proportions, mostly by regression technique. Since most of the published regression based resistance prediction methods have limited range we decided to structure new regression model. Resistance data from 12 systematic series with 186 individual models were grouped. The series were designed through last 50 years in different institutions resulting in large differences in hull form definition. It seems not to have been taken into account by some of the resistance prediction models. Therefore, we faired all basic models and recalculated hull form parameters.
After redefining residuary resistance and parameter correlation analysis the regression model with 12 coefficients was developed. Achieved CR standard deviation varies with FN from ą0.0004, to ą0.00095. Prediction results are presented for a modern hull form with parameters in the central region of the range, with fair results
