Sažetak
This paper explores the present state of the Croatian insurance industry and describes the changes of insurance market structure. We analysed the dynamics of economic growth of insurance companies in the post patriotic war period in Croatia and made comparative analyses of changes in other countries in transition and developed European countries. The paper focuses on development strategies and improving the efficiency of insurance companies, which would help sustain and enhance competition in the coming years.
