Sažetak
Based on empirical research of the entrepreneurial potential of Croatian SMEs sector, the demand for new knowledge has been recognised as very importantin discussion on many topics of transition process in Croatia. One of the most seductive topic was (and still is) entrepreneurship and the way how it works. Not long ago (1995) on the academic conference on SMEs (Rijeka) several participants have strongly attacked the idea of needed educationon entrepreneurship and advocated on old, for many years abandoned idea that entrepreneurs are born, not made.
