Sažetak
Belief in a Just World (BJW) could be an important construct for explaining differences in psychosocial adjustment of people differently influenced by the war and post-war events. Empirical investigations of BJW have progressed in last few decades and several scales have been developed to measure this construct. However, none of them has been used by Croatian authors. The aim of this study was adaptation of some BJW scales and examination of differences between groups with different war and post-war experiences (e.g. refugees, returnees). The relationship between BJW in these groups and some BJW correlates (e.g. locus of control, anxiety) were also examined. The BJW scales were first translated into Croatian and administered to the sample of students at the Faculty of Science and Arts in Zadar. Subsequently, these scales were administered along with locus of control, anxiety and coping strategies measures on groups of refugees and returnees.
