Sažetak
From July 1991, until November 1992, 7, 024 wounded were treated in the Slavonski Brod Medical Center, 1, 073 with life-threatening injuries. Two characteristic periods of work could be distinguished. The first coincided with the Aggression against Croatia and lasted from July 1991 until March 1992, when the Medical Center and its Anesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Care Service actually transformed into a rear hospital of the third echelon, admitting wounded with life-threatening injuries from war hospitals in Eastem Slavonija. The second period began with the Aggression on Bosanska Posavina in Bosnia and Herzegovina, when the wounded from Slavonski Brod municipality and the entire area of Bosanska Posavina arrived to our Center. The aim of this article is to present the magnitude of the work done by our Service in commitment to save lives during the horrors of war.
