Sažetak
There are c. 13,212 various coins from Novi Banovci in the Zagreb Archaeological Museum, 3044 were catalogued individually, while the remaining 10,168, being duplicates or badly preserved specimens were carefully packed, labelled and laid asied by Brunšmid. The range of coins unearthed in Novi Banovci is amazing. One could even think that Burgenae were a major exchange office or a bank throughout the history. There are quite a few eastern Celtic coins (103 in the systematic collection, plus a few badly preserved specimens) and among the Greek coins (335 in the systematic collection. There are also some Roman Republican issues (13 specimens), whereas the Roman Imperial ones begin with the reign of Augustus and end with Theodosius I (1705 specimens in the systematic collection). Eastern Roman coinage is in the Zagreb Collection kept apart together with the Byzantine. Mediaeval and modern coin finds are also numerous (890) specimens in the systematic collection.
