Sažetak
The paper describes role and perception of Regional operational programmes (ROP’s) and Regional development strategies (RDS’s) in development of the counties in the Republic of Croatia. The accent is put on research made on existing regional development documents, especially on the number of defined priorities and measures, which have aim to contribute to socio- economic development of a counties. In paper are also given concrete advices, to stakeholders who are conducting preparation of such documents, in order to make a document which will be good base for systematic regional development and at the same time a supporting tool for getting money from European Union funds.
