Sažetak
Basic information of company Kamen is given in introduction of this article. One of activity of this company is underground excavation of dimension stone commercially called Istrian Yellow. There are presented mechanical characteristics of material, which are measured on specimens with different quality and from different location. Hoek-Brown constants were calculated and discontiuities of deposit were processed in detail. In the article are given characteristics of technology of block extraction and characteristics of basic machine chain saw. There are also given results of several years of probing work on block extraction. Underground conditions were simulated with computer (2D software FLAC) and stresses were calculated in upper wall and in standing wall. Points for measuring of krovina convergence and points for measuring of relative deformations on discontinuities and pillars are positioned in quarry. Results of two years measuring are presented.
