Sažetak
In the article are given basic characteristics of limestone that is exploited in Istra under the name Istrian Yellow. It is given short historical review of tradition of exploitation of dimension stone in Istra. With regard to specific deposit (limited thickness of 6,7 m), specific exploitation method is developed and basic parameters of this method are still establishing. In the article are presented basic parameters of designing of underground quarries in horizontally layered limestone, with relatively small thickness.
