Sažetak
The aim of this paper is to explore differences in attitudes between the students of private colleges/polytechnics and state university students with regard to the perception of neo- liberalism and social injustice in society and education. Two hypotheses about the supposed differences in perception were tested on a total sample of 365 private colleges/polytechnics students and state university students in winter semester of the academic year 2011/2012. In addition to variables of socio-demographic characteristics was used the Questionnaire on perception of social injustice (Ljubotina, Družić Ljubotina, 2001) and a modified version of the Questionnaire on social criticism of neo-liberalism in education (Čulig, Klasnić, 2011). The results of discriminant analysis and robust Welch ANOVA imply that students in the samples of state universities and private colleges differ in both perception of social injustice in society and education and criticism of neo- liberalism. Students of private colleges/polytechnics are less sensitive to injustice in society and education and are less critical of neo- liberalism in education, unlike their colleagues who study at public universities. It was found that with a higher financial status, which is common among students of private colleges/polytechnics, the perception of injustice and criticism of neo- liberalism is weaker.
