Sažetak
In Croatia year 2000 marks a turning point: the 20 percent threshold has been broken and since then stayed a norm. Though relatively high, the petrifaction of this percentage leaves little to be desired. Starting from the assumption that electoral systems and political parties in contemporary Croatia are major actors in the representation of women in the national parliament, the author analyses the (un)favourable conditions for Croatian women in candidacy procedures.
