Sažetak
The aim of this article is to investigate damages of cerebral tissue immediately adjacent to the operational area caused by ultrasonic energy after the use of an ultrasonic aspirator as well as the damages of cerebral tissue sells in areas remote from the operational area as the function of the intensity of applied ultrasonic energy. In order to obtain relationship between electrical and acoustical characteristics of an aspirator and lesions of the rat brain, the aspirator was calibrated. Different power and duration of ultrasonic energy of aspirator was applied on Wistar rats cortex and subcortial matter in frontoparietal region. The animals were sacrified in different period after surgery. Light and electron microscopy were than applied. A three different zones of changed brain tissue were found: dezintegration zone, termic lesion zones and zone of micromolecular structures lesion. The analysis of cerebral tissue cells from areas of the brain remote from the operational areea under an electron microscope has shown damages of organelles and axonal cylinders.
