Sažetak
Paper presents designing principles of the transport system in a shipyard with flexible production program of about 20000 tons steel yearly. Production program includes off-shore objects, various types os sophisticated ships as well as land steel constructions.
Quantities and flows of materials through the workshops are determined by technological process. Transport devices, their characteristics and capacities are chosen for defined material fabrication flow. Final solutions are the combination of ground-floor and crane transport, wich enables the flexible material flow in two mutually perpendicular directions, comunications betwen workshops and necessary recurrent flows. The economical effects in assembly technology are achieved by maximizing the portal crane operating area, enabling its activity in the large open area as well as in prefabrication workshops through the sliding roofs.
Choice of transport devices and their characteristics are related mainly to the flexibility of process.
