Sažetak
The aim of this work was to find out a way to link all existing data, as well as data acquired by the interpretation of aerial photographs, by digital interpretation of satellite images or gathered on the ground into a unique information source, and to generate new information as a basis for planning in forestry, by using the methods of a geographical information system (GIS). The research was carried out in the NP "Risnjak". The GIS model vas established using the program ARC Info 7.02 for the input of data, program MODEL for the analysis of data in raster form. Image processing was done using ER Mapper 5.0. The data gathered in unique system are: topographic data from existing maps in the scale 1 : 5000 and 1 : 25000; existing thematic maps (vegetation, soil types, geological etc.); forest parameters from existing management plans and collected on aerial photographs, DTM generated from the contours digitized from the map 1 : 5000, satellite image, terrestrial investigation of havy metals in soil etc. Lot of new layers were generated, lot of analysis were performed to show and to produce information for the planning in forestry.
