Sažetak
Over the years, the construction industry has accepted different performance management initiatives, which are today grouped in three types of models: Key Performance Indicators (KPI) based models, BSC based models and EFQM based models where almost one third of companies use different KPI models. The aim of this paper is to present a listing of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) developed for the construction industry in South East Europe and show management perception of currently used indicators in the industry. After we had conducted a literature review and found a listing of KPIs, used among academe and the construction industry we used semi-structured interviews in more than 30 South East European construction companies. The results show a low level of awareness among participants of KPI models and performance management processes and discovered a substantial difference among project participant’s perceptions.
