Sažetak
Materials used in furniture industry are often the products of chemical and metal industry, and as such can endanger the natural environment. The conventional technologies do not contribute to implementation of ecological criteria, but involve a low level of raw material use, application of damaging protection products for impregnation and wood finishing, waste collection in mechanical processing, etc. An ecological product involves an adjustment of a well-designed product to qualitative features of materials and constructions, and to modern high technology. Innovative programmes need modern production plants which should by law fulfil ecological criteria, and in line with the Statute on environmental impacts assessment.
